California is the largest agricultural economy in the country, and one of the top five in the world. The world depends on California’s farmers.
The National Young Farmers Coalition wants to be sure that young farmers in California guide our policies and actions to ensure their farm viability and, thus, our food security. We engage farmers to set policy priorities, hold governance roles in their communities, and strengthen community organizing capacity for shaping the conditions in which the work and live. This is how we do it:

What you can do
If you are a farmer, work with us by joining or starting a Chapter (Santa Cruz, Mendocino, San Diego are forming) or becoming a member.
Together we can organize actions, resources, and workshops that strengthen your farms. For more information on starting a chapter, please contact Caitlin Arnold, our National Chapter Manager at caitlin@youngfarmers.org.
If you are an individual or organization that wants to align your efforts for farmer success, contact info@youngfarmers.org.
