Greetings, I am Ronald J. Davis. A 2012 graduate of Animal Science from Tuskegee University. Since graduating, I have defined myself as a Beginning Farmer. As a Maryland native, I intend to serve as a catalyst for other interested youth in agricultural initiatives. I maintain my tenacity to continue forward in my journey as a successful farmer by believing, “You can do anything you put your mind to, even if the odds are not in your favor”. My current operation consists of 76 acres of land committed to raising commercial cattle and goats. Thanks to the help of the 2020 Young Farmer Grant, I will increase my efficiency by implementing cross fencing, using proper fertilization based on soil sampling, and year round grazing pastures. I am elated in the opportunity for my dreams to come true. Thanks again.
