Mike “Cowboy” Reed is the Ranch Manager of Tuff’s Ranch LLC and Tuff’s Animal Rescue at Tuff’s Ranch, a 501(c)(3) in Bennett, Colorado. Cowboy believes that every person should be able to learn about agriculture in all forms: ranching, crops, fiber, and supporting animals. Cowboy is a supporter of agriculture water rights in Colorado. He believes that the hardships encountered within agriculture have water restrictions at the root cause. Cowboy recently completed his Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) certification and has been selected to be a fellow for 2022-2023 for the Young Farmers’ Colorado Water Fellowship Program. He is currently a state delegate for the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union for East Adams and Arapahoe Counties. Cowboy has been involved in agriculture his entire life, with most of his experience being held in Texas. He has the support of his beautiful wife Marina, and the respect of his children (one of whom is a potential rancher himself).
