Jermyn Shannon

For nearly two decades I have worked alongside Black farmers as a technology consultant, assisting them with marketing and recruitment, as well as business development. I have witnessed their challenges first-hand as the majority are over 60 and do not have a clear path to transition land and products. I started Futurists in Farming and Agriculture to extend continuing education for youth and seniors through my company Global Technology Education. We take a hybrid approach to learning byway of heritage tourism and remote learning with a focus on urban agriculture to foster environmental sustainability by creating more intergenerational activities that will open new career pathways for all.
