Bilal works with the executive team and communications director to refine our membership strategy and coordinate communications and outreach. He hails from the Piedmont region in Georgia where he has worked as an urban farmer, managed a therapeutic garden program, and served on the board of Slow Food Atlanta. Bilal comes to Young Farmers from White Oak Pastures in Bluffton, Georgia, where he served as Organic Farm Manager and Manager of Community Development. He earned a Bachelors of Science in Human Biology and Anthropology from Emory University, and his passion lies where human health and food systems meet.
