FarmHack partners with farmers, non-profits and education and research institutions to put on events that spark farmer innovation.
In the past we have hosted brainstorming workshops at farm conferences and all-day charette events at universities. In addition to bringing farmers together, we create opportunities for farmers to collaborate with non-farmer allies who have skills to contribute to the regional and sustainable agriculture movement. At MIT, we partnered with engineers to come up with six new farm tool + system prototypes, including farm-built cultivators, water-wise cranberry bog systems, and labor-saving irrigation valves. We have also worked with environmental engineers, architects, product designers . . . and we are seeking new partners for events.
