Being in love with cultivating and health his whole life, LeVar joined the commercial cannabis/hemp space in 2015, and the idea for Top Harvest Club began. He is passionate about the cultivation of a myriad of plants and wants to ensure that people understand the health benefits. As a result, he began teaching himself more about regenerative farming combined with ways to enter the legal space of this emerging market. He has over 15 years of growing experience, overseeing commercial cultivation facilities as Director of Cultivation. He furthered his business acumen by attending and completing Hood Incubator and the Uptima business boot camp accelerator program in 2018. Growing up in urban environments and loving horticulture, LeVar never saw growing plants as a viable career path due to never seeing or knowing any Black farmers. In 2020, BluRok Farm L.L.C. and 2022 Top Harvest Club Scorp were both founded by LeVar. In 2021, BluRok Farm L.L.C. had its first successful season and harvest in the hemp/CBD market.  This year (2022) BluRok Farm will have its second season and harvest, while Top Harvest Club is in the process of obtaining its cannabis cultivation license. Both companies want to expand their reach and dive deeper into their mission: to create an ecosystem of minority companies in the cannabis/hemp space to ensure minorities have a well carved out space in the industry to ensure generational wealth and sustainability.
