Tianna Kennedy

Tianna has been farming in the Northern Catskills for over a decade. Currently, she is the Executive Director of the Catskills Agrarian Alliance, which is in partnership with Star Route Farm, LLC, a vegetable farm she co-owns with Amanda Wong and Walter Riesen. Star Route’s diversified vegetable and small grain operation serves food justice organizations in the Catskills and New York City. Tianna also founded and operates the 607 CSA, an 600+ person, multi-farm CSA project supporting 40 farms and food businesses in Otsego, Schoharie, and Delaware counties, delivering to the Catskills, Hudson Valley, and the five boroughs. In 2015, she started the Catskills Chapter of the National Young Farmers Coalition. She is also a founding member of Delhi’s Bushel Collective and the Schooner Apollonia, a Hudson Valley sail freight venture. She currently sits on the board of Unadilla Community Farm and Draft Animal-Power Network and is a member of Watershed Ag Council’s Economic Viability Committee. Earlier in 2022, Tianna was awarded a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for her service to her community by Representative Antonio Delgado. For fun, she plays cello with friends, grows botanicals and distills absinthe, obsesses over her chickens and dogs, and is learning how to manage forests and farm with draft horses.
