As the Michigan Organizer, Payge supports current and aspiring farmers to uplift their voices through policy advocacy. Payge is passionate about food sovereignty and agriculture as liberation. She has worked as a farmhand, farm manager, and agriculture youth educator across the state of Michigan and holds a B.S. in Biology, Health, and Society from the University of Michigan. They currently reside in Detroit, where they are stewarding land on a formerly vacant lot. Payge is a student of facilitation, fermentation, agroforestry, and writing.
