Paul Lotierzo is the Director of Development at the National Young Farmers Coalition, where he leads resource development efforts to support the next generation of farmers. His personal and professional journey reflects a deep interest in the intersection of history, culture, and the foods we eat; a connection that drives his commitment to supporting young and BIPOC farmers in building resilient, sustainable food systems while advancing the Coalition’s mission to shift power and change policy to equitably resource a new generation of working farmers. With a storied career in fundraising and a background rooted in LGBTQ+ and social justice advocacy, Paul has helped raise millions of dollars for organizations dedicated to equity, inclusion, and justice. He has held leadership roles such as Chief Development Officer, Executive Director, and Director of Development at impactful nonprofits, including Project Pride SRQ, Civic Influencers, Athlete Ally, and Immigration Equality. Paul also serves on the Associate Board of Immigration Equality, where he supports the organization’s mission to protect and uplift LGBTQ and HIV-positive immigrants and their families. His extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, development strategy, and community engagement is driven by a passion for fostering positive social change. Outside of work, Paul enjoys life on Florida’s beautiful Gulf Coast, where he makes the most of sunny days by running along Sarasota’s scenic trails, perusing local farmers markets, and volunteering with LGBTQ+ groups and local farms and growers to help maintain the land. Paul and his fiancé share a love for exploration, and you can spot them in queer-owned cafes, restaurants, and bookstores in small towns and big cities around the country.
