Míchi (rhymes with peachy) serves as the FRSAN-NE Coordinator with the Coalition. Míchi is a beginner farmer who received her Chemistry B.A. from the University of Iowa. Prior to joining Young Farmers, Míchi served as a co-farm manager of a 5-acre educational farm and as an Access and Equity Coordinator, working to identify gaps within regional food systems, assess entry points for change, determine ways that partners can more effectively work together for a just food system, and elevate voices of BIPOC and historical marginalized community members. Míchi has a yorkie-terrier mix named Bebe who will eat all your tomato starts if left unwatched.
