Leigh Ollman is based in Brooklyn, New York, where she is involved in organizing various community-based food, farming, and fungi-related initiatives. She earned her M.A. in Food Studies from New York University, where she was a founding member of the NYU Seed Library and the NYU Mycology Group. She is currently growing gourmet mushrooms in the Hudson Valley and co-facilitates mushroom cultivation workshops for the Cornell Small Farms Program across the Northeast region. Leigh has spent over a decade working in both the corporate and not-for-profit sectors managing charitable giving programs and social impact initiatives. She is excited to join the Young Farmers team to advance a more sustainable and equitable future for all farmers.
