Laura Colligan is a certified organic vegetable farmer from western New York, near Buffalo. She started her farm, Dirt Rich Farm, in 2015 at the age of 21 and now runs it with her fiancé and a couple of seasonal employees. The farm produces a wide variety of vegetables, from amaranth and arugula to zucchini, on a little over 2 acres for sale to a 150 member CSA, at a farmers market, at a farm stand, and to local businesses. She a former board member with the Northeast Organic Farming Association of New York (NOFA-NY) and still serves on the NOFA-NY Policy Committee. She is also active with Showing Up For Racial Justice Buffalo and is part of a group of farmers that is working to start a western New York chapter of the National Young Farmers Coalition.
