Kellee (they/she) lives and grows on unceded territory of the Awawas speaking Uypi tribe (Santa Cruz). Kellee stewards the education and community programs for Second Generation Seeds, a growers collective and seed company focused on caring for culturally significant seeds of the Asian diaspora, and is the farm manager at Food What?!, a youth empowerment and food justice organization. Kellee is a fourth generation queer japanese-chinese american, born and raised in Los Angeles, and came to farming as the intersection of past work in community health, cultural reclamation, and environmental justice. Kellee is most passionate about land access,reparations for BIPOC farmers, and community seed sovereignty.
