Jennifer Benson

Jennifer is based in Denver, Colorado where she pursues state policy change in Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona. She joined the NYFC  team after earning her law degree from the University of Colorado Law School where she focused her studies on food and agriculture law and policy. While in law school, she interned with NYFC, the Harvard Law School Food Law and Policy Clinic, the Farm Bill Law Enterprise, and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and she served as Managing Editor of the Colorado Law Review where her research focused on racial equity in farm bill programs. Jennifer grew up on a farm in Monroe City, Missouri and earned a Bachelors and Masters Degree from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri.
