Amanda joins Young Farmers after eight years building a more just and sustainable farm and food system by leading local, state, and federal policy organizing and government relations at the Land Stewardship Project. She also brings significant experience in local and state legislative elections and union organizing. Amanda holds a Masters in Advocacy and Political Leadership (M.A.P.L.) from Metropolitan State University and a B.S. in Environmental Science from Bethel University. She also serves as the Board Chair of a non-profit organization called Greener Pastures. Amanda lives on Dakota land in Saint Paul, Minnesota where she and her spouse, Willie, are piloting Maple Urban Farm, selling eggs from their 11 hens, as well as vegetables, fruits, and herbs, to family and friends. They are owned by five cats.
