Schenk Homestead Farm is a diversified market farm entering our third season growing vegetables with biodynamic practices. Owned and operated by Amanda Grisa and partner Jeremiah Grisa, alongside our two small children, our produce is grown utilizing a 4 crop type rotation system of roots, legumes, greens, and heavy fruiting crops on a 1.5 acre vegetable system within our 13 acres. We attend multiple farmers markets, offer our produce to area restaurants and groceries, and sell produce boxes direct to our customers via our website. The National Young Farmers Grant will help us upgrade our wash and pack station and to purchase a roots washer. This will significantly increase our post-harvest efficiency and improve the quality of our offerings.
