Are you interested in learning how to engage Maine policy makers on agricultural policy and the unique challenges facing young farmers?
Then come join the Southern Maine Young Farmers Coalition on Tuesday, March 26th for a half day agricultural advocacy workshop!
Ellen Griswold, Policy and Research Director for Maine Farmland Trust will help kick the day off with an overview of the policy landscape in Maine, and then David Howard, National Young Farmers Coalition’s Northeast Campaigns Director, will lead attendees in digging into the elements of a state policy campaign and how YOU can get involved in advocacy work in Maine!
This workshop is open to all experience levels. No prior experience or knowledge required. Attendees will come away with tangible tools to start advocating for a brighter farming future, as well as a better understanding of how the Coalition engages in state policy work. Also open to young and beginning farmers from Eastern New Hampshire!
Coffee and doughnuts will be provided. Lunch on your own after the event.
