Legal advice for your farmland access questions

If you’re hunkering down on any land access, business planning, or farm transition projects this winter, chances are you would benefit from professional legal advice.

Join the National Young Farmers Coalition and Pace-NRDC Food Law Initiative for an “office hours” event, where we will pair you up with attorneys for clinic-style meetings about any legal issue related to accessing farmland, starting a farm business, or transitioning farmland to a new generation. This event is free for farmers.

What are you working on this winter?

We can pair you up with attorneys with the following specialties:

  • Farmland leases
  • Farm purchase agreements
  • Land or business transitions
  • Business entity formation, including co-ops, LLCs and non-profits
  • Tax issues, agriculture assessments
  • Insurance and risk management
  • Development rights
  • Zoning
  • Estate planning
  • Copyright and trademark
  • Domestic issues
  • And more – be sure to suggest your specific legal need using our registration form

You MUST register by Nov. 1 to indicate your legal support interests/needs.

Note: We may not be able to offer legal technical assistance for all topics. Please register early to give us the best chance of finding support for your needs.

This event is co-hosted by the National Young Farmers Coalition and the Pace-NRDC Food Law Initiative, a collaboration between the Elisabeth Haub School of Law Environmental Law Program and the Natural Resources Defense Council.
