NYC Young Farmers envision a city with a youth-led food system that is resilient to the shortcomings of a global, corporate-controlled agricultural model. We seek a future where legislators are aware of and engaged with the environmental, racial, social, and political factors that orbit farming on local and statewide levels. We work towards building a diverse coalition that represents the urban priorities of food justice, land access, public advocacy, and BIPOC/youth empowerment. We recognize the stewardship of land and hard work of farmers regionally, and connect our collective action to the initiatives and needs expressed by other young farmers.
