The Northern Illinois chapter aims to support the major themes in National Young Farmers Coalition’s policies, including #farmingisapublicservice, debt relief, and access to land and educational resources for farmers. We are devoted to supporting equity in access to land and resources to farmers of color and indigenous farmers, and changing the current landscape to bring underserved individuals and communities to the table and to power in agriculture. We formed in fall 2021 to connect and charge our community of vibrant farmers that currently exist and thrive in urban, suburban and rural northern Illinois.
Calling all farmers, ranchers, land stewards, chefs & bakers, and local food system allies to join us in this vital work and fun!
