Farm Hack @ RISD:
Saturday & Sunday, March 10-11th, 2012
Hosted on the RISD campus (Providence, RI).
Join us as we work side-by-side with local farmers to develop new tools and ideas to help strengthen sustainable agriculture in Providence and beyond . The weekend will include:
- Visits to local farms to help frame problems and opportunities
- An afternoon design charrette to share skills and ideas
- Time to socialize and enjoy locally sourced meals
The weekend is intended to serve as the beginnings of future collaborations within the local Providence community and will continue online with other Farm Hack participants nation-wide.

SATURDAY, MARCH 10th
10:00 am – Coffee & sign-in (“The Met” dining center)
10:30 – Orientation & Introductions
Transportation to Farms TBA
1pm – Leave for farms
1:30pm - Tour Red Planet Farms
3:30pm - Tour City Farm
6:00 – Dinner @RISD (“The Met” dining center)
8:00 – Join us for socializing (location TBA)
SUNDAY, MARCH 11th
9:30 – Coffee & light breakfast (The Tap Room)
10:00 am - Design Workshop
12:00 - Working lunch (provided)
2:00 - Pinup projects & critique
3:00 - Final wrap-up
