Farmers and ranchers of California’s Marin and Sonoma counties – see below for the initial call-out for a young farmer and rancher coalition forming in your area!
Not in Marin or Sonoma (or even in California)? We’d love to talk you through building a coalition in your area. Groups are forming for a variety of reasons, whether it be for sharing ideas and skills, organizing group events, or just kicking back and relaxing with some fellow growers. Get started today!
Fellow farmers, ranchers, workers of the land,

Young farmers and ranchers gathered for a similar event in NY
The face of the American farmer is changing. At least from what I’ve seen in Marin and Sonoma counties, that face has fewer wrinkles, a stronger back and a lot more hope. Most importantly, we connect around a shared passion for feeding our communities. That’s why I’m inviting you to the first gathering of the Young Farmers Guild, a monthly get-together of new and young farmers, ranchers, milkmaids, food artisans, chefs, butchers and anyone else with a vested interest in the next generation assuring that we’ve all got something good on our plates.
Generously hosted by Sebastopol’s GrowKitchen and endorsed by the National Young Farmers Coalition, each meeting will provide a casual environment for you to meet other young farmers, share tips, trade skills and learn more about the issues and opportunities we each face. No membership dues or secret handshakes, just show up with some food to share, a few good ideas and as many questions as you can carry in from your farm, pasture or kitchen.
Next (first) Meeting:
Tuesday February 12th
6pm
245 Ferguson Rd. Sebastopol, CA 95472
Please feel free to forward this invitation along to anyone you think might be interested. For more information or for questions, visit the Facebook page or email Evan directly: emwiig@yahoo.com.
